She’s the president during the highly successful DLSU Chorale’s US and European Tour in 2004 and one of the most industrious members that I had in chorale. She’s a born leader, hardworking, achiever, a good alto singer and she’s someone that aims and sets a goal and accomplished a result with flying colors. She’s an inspiration among her peers.
It was during her time when we won First Place in the Bela Bartok Choral Competition, Folkloric Category in Debrecen, Hungary, one the prestigious competitions in Europe.
Hazel was a Gawad Magaaral Awardee in 2004. We were in Europe very busy performing and competing when the news was relayed to us via text messaging that hazel won the award. Everyone in the group was jubilant and I being the group’s conductor was so proud and overwhelmed because she was my president.
I missed hazel’s company. She’s very energetic, well disciplined, well breed, dedicated and a loyal member of the DLSU Chorale. She’s one of a kind and it was a great pleasure that I had her as an alto and president in Batch 2004.
